How to do a 100% water change in QT

Bad news my new Blue Gig turn south after 2.5 wks of looking good. Deflated and 50% all day with gapping mouth as big as a dime.

I put in QT with 250Mg of cipro want to do 100% water changes.

What procedure do you use? I can do about 50% before i hit the Gig height. Do you just drain all the way down and let gig run dry or remove gig and drain.

Best approach?

How big is the gig, and is it attached to anything? Mine are usually attached to a mug or rock. I just fill up another container with water from the QT tank, add the gig, and let it sit in the container while I drain the rest of the tank. I wipe down the tank, add a new powerhead and heater (I have two sets for easy swapping) I add the gig back into a now empty tank, then I slowly fill up the tank with clean water (temp the same as the old water).

good plan, it's attached to a clay flower pot. Need to find a container big enough to hold. don't have back up equipment so i will have to wipe as is.

I would wipe and drain at the same time. Knocks it all out. Anemone will need to be supported as it is mostly water you can not risk tearing it.
