i was given a mantis yeasterday i dont know what type it is for sure,it now living in my sump as i dont trust in the main tank with my jaw fish.anyway could someone please tell the best way to feed it thanks inadvance gary

Mine will take dead food from a feeding stick. A small piece of meaty foods such as krill, shrimp, or silversides usually is accepted.

Some people enjoy feeding live foods such as small snails or hermit crabs, but it isn't necessary imo. They feel smashers need to use their smasher, but that can be acheived by stuffing the food into an empty snail shell.

I feen mine Krill, Silversides, cnam, crab, and have even seen them take pellets. All of mine will readil come and take food off of a piece of hard air line, and my N.wenn I trust enough to just stick my hand into the tank give him his munchies.

The one that came with my L/R is just like me. Eats whatever
is on the plate, keep your fingers out of the way. No .... feed
small bits of food on a ka bob stick. It eats frozen, fresh or flake.
I read its strike is like a 22 bullet lookout. G.F.I. dbr
