How to frag this?

Hi
How should I frag this? It started out on a rock and then
the rock was glued to a frag disk and then glued onto a larger
frag disk. It is now over growing the bottom disk.
I would like to frag it but not sure how to do that so I have flat
sections. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wouldn't frag it, I would find a place in rock work where it would be happy and stick the whole plug and frag into it, it's still pretty small to frag. You could also go to your lfs and ask if they have a dead chalice or acan skeleton, drill a hole for the plug, and glue it on, eventually it'll grow over and fill the skeleton and then you can frag it.

It would be challenging to get flat frags from that without a lot of cutting/grinding. Similar to above post, you could just surround it with frag disks and let it grow onto them, then frag those.

Personally, if I were to do it, I'd probably just chop it up and not worry about it being flat.

So that's what I did. I picked up some very large disks
from my lfs. Glued the coral to the disk and after it
grows out on the disk then I will frag it.

no, don't do this. dead LPS skeleton is very rough and is probably the absolute worst surface for LPS to grow on. That's why if LPS are severely damaged to the point where the tissue shrinks, they are extremely slow to grow back.

Cleanest way to frag would be with a band saw or you could also use a dremel. Miz's idea is good as well if you don't have any of those tools. Good luck! :)
