how to frag trumpet coral ?

Just fragged these yesterday!

I just took pliers and pried them off from the branch. It is tricky, but once youget use to it, it is easy.

They are very easy to frag. Just make sure that you cut down towards the base - or at least not too close to the heads, as the skeleton on this coral sometimes tends to shatter or crush rather than a clean snap. The further away you cut from the heads, the less chance you'll have of crushing the skeleton.

sorry to get off topic, but i got a 2 headed frag probably about 4 months ago, and it hasn't changed one bit. i do see the green centers of the heads puff out at night, but never see tentacles extending.

it is under halides pointing out sideways from the light.. should i put it in more light? less light? high flow? low flow? or is it just a slow grower?
