How to get a mushroom to attach?

A small, hairy mushroom in my tank was placed in an area of apparently too much flow. It let go of its rock. It is floating free with a little sand attached. I've placed it in areas of little flow, but it blows off. I think a rubber band might be too much, but you guys tell me. Would think I can't glue it, right?

if you have a shallow cup, you can usually put some smaller pieces of rubble in the bottom and then the mushroom on top of that. Then put the cup in a low flow area. The rubble should keep it down and the walls of the cup keep the mushroom from blowing out. Then when it attaches to some rubble pieces, you can glue that to a rock. The main problem is you need to have it in a place that it likes or it may detatch and blow around again. They let go of rocks and blow around in search of places they like better.

i just superglue gel the bottom of the mushroom with the sand on it to a rock...essentially glueing the sand pieces to the small rock...then put it in a low flow area and let it mount fully...usually works for me

Another thing you could try is stick a toothpick through the base/stem of the shroom & then run a rubberband over the toothpick & attach it to a rock leave it like that for bout a week undo the rubberband & slidde the toothpick out. Waalaahh it is attached. It works & im deep into a case of budlight.

I don't have the heart. Actually, I don't need to. I was going to glue it as Jack had outlined, but it appears to like the last spot I chose for it. I had pressed it into a slight depression with a rubber band for 5 seconds, thought it might squish it, removed the rubber band, and it has stayed put! Thanks for all the suggestions.
