do nothing. it will naturally drop over time with food additions and poop.

How high is the alk?

A simple water change will fix most water chemistry issues .. including accidentally putting way too much alk in the tank.

do a few waterchanges to get it down. thats high. I just went through it with my tank. my clams were so PO'ed. now they have recovered.

A simple water change will fix that.

The Chemistry forum has a nice library section. In addition to the great articles on water chemistry there are excellent links to Chemistry Calculators which are very helpful when you want to add alk, calc and magnesium to your tank. Worth a look.

If you were trying to reduce PH plain old white vinegar would accomplish that ... but PH and alkalinity are different. Adding vinegar doesn't necessarily change overall alkalinity.

I got plants. new dish. it would drop only ph.

Don't add vinegar. First do a water change. Let the rest fall on its own. Just look at the inhabitants. If everything is looking good then you're ok.
