Long story short, two picasso were in my RTBA for about 8 months, moved 1000 miles, now they dont go near it and it has been almost 2 weeks. Any ideas to help encourage them to return home?
Honestly, there is no way to make them go back. They may or may never return to it. Bubble tips are not a natural host for those types of clownfish in the wild.
I understand, I just though that since they have been hosted by this RTBA, there is some kind of preferment for their return. I think maybe trying to feed them next to the RTBA would help.
Yeah I'd just say patience. They're probably a little disoriented by their new environment. Let them settle a little longer and see how they do. Did you transport them together? If so then they may have been more likely to stay with it the whole way through. They'll probably find it again, just give them a little time.
One trick you can try if nothing else works. Put the BTA and the clowns in a bucket together for several hours. If they don't host then, they never will again.
just time i had a clownfish with and rbta for two years. he first hosted the pulsing xenia then he started with the rbta. iT TOOK TWO YEARS!!! for you it may be sooner because they have done so before
