If you have ocellaris or percula, they might never use the anemone as a host...then again they might; clowns are kind of funny that way.
I have heard of people putting the anemone and clowns in a smaller environment to increase the interaction between the two - either in a small tank or putting some sort of apperatus over the clowns and anemone. Both sound fairly extreme to me.
I would say just leave em alone. They'll decide what they want as their host
Ive heard of clowns that hosted after 7 years in a tank with an anemone, the guy just woke up an saw his GSM in the anemone. Some host anemones within seconds...Some never do...What can I say its mothernature
I have some tank raised clowns. After three week they still didn't host in BTA. Someone suggested shinning a flashlight on the BTA. I have a 6v recharge Mag, like the cops use. It took three nights. Now they never leave it. Good luck.
i think sometimes, if the clown accidentially bumps into the anemone, the feel of the anemone's sting feels good on them.. thats how i think of it.. once they realize it feels good, they cant leave it...
