how to get pods to move to display

thanks to some hitchhikers on the chaeto i got from mike (MGNY) i finally have some "bugs" living in my sump. will they migrate up to the display on their own somehow? if not can i just shake off my ball of chaeto in the display and try to shake some loose? i have a deep sand bed in the display and would like to get some more life going up there. thanks in advance for any input.

Do you have live rock?? If so, it probably has some "bugs" already. Take a look at night with a flashlight.

i have 45lbs of fiji LR. I have looked at night with a flashlight and havent seen anything. maybe i'm not looking hard enough. I'll try again tonight

They will eventually migrate up. If you want to speed things up, go ahead and shake some chaet in the disply tank. However, do it after the lights have been off for a bit so the the pods have a chance of settling in before being snacked on by the fish

Give them an eviction notice, some teeny, tiny moving boxes and maybe they will get the hint.
