there is a gigantea that attached to 2 large rocks, we need to move this carpet but the 2 rocks are too large to move at once, we can move it if it is attached to 1. So what do you do to get it to move?

point the MaxiJett at it's foot? or turn off the light that it's under?

thanks

When I had to more my very large mag that was hooked to 2 rocks. I put on a pair of gloves and slowly rubbed its foot off the bigger of the 2 rocks. Took about 1.5 hrs though!!:hmm5:

I hear ice in a ziplock works some times.

I would try to manually remove it -- wear some rubber gloves and slowly massage the edge of the foot that you have easiest access to. Once you can get your finger underneath, you can slowly peel it away. This is assuming the foot is not wedged in a crevice. I've done this a couple times with success, just make sure you don't rip the foot. IME, the attachment point of a gig's foot is relatively small, once you're able to get under and get a little bit off, the rest just comes with it. Good luck!

thanks guys for your suggestions, turns out the 2 rocks are movable so the nem will go with both rocks to a new tank.

hopefully a happy ever ending for the nem :)
