How to identify if there were copepods

I had a new tank and had cycle it for a month. I could i know that i had copepods ? Cause i wanted to put my mandarin dragonet in.

You can see them on the glass, especially around any algae. They look like tiny white dots with legs moving around.
 
You might consider adding some other fish first, give it at least a couple months before a mandarin. What size tank? Macro algae could help if it's a small tank for a mandarin (66-100 gallons). Good luck!
 
Please do some research on the mandarin before getting one. I'd wait a while before adding one. If your tank isn't big enough, and/or established enough, they will starve. Some people have to raise pods basically to keep their tank filled with enough to feed a mandarin.
