How would I add a yellow tang to my tank that has a kole tang already istablished in it? what steps would I take?

If your asking about your 75g tank... the answer is don't do it. The tank is too small for 2 tangs. Even if they're both tiny they'll outgrow the tank in a year and you'll have to get rid of one.

I have both in my 90G and they are best buddy. Of what I have observed Kole don't seem to protect any territory, they are just grazing here and there. Thus, I don't see a problem mixing them in a 4 feet tank. Yellow tang just seem to considere the Kole as a non-tang fish.

However, I remember one guy posting here saying that his Kole was a terror in his tank.

In fact, I had more problem with my sixline wrasse attacking my Kole, but that is another story.

i wouldnt do it, but if you do want to you shoudlnt have much of a problem, see them many times together before. good luck with what you choose.

IMO do NOT add a foxface with a yellow tang in a 75. The established fish will recognize the other as a food competitor and trouble there shall be.

he doesn't have a yellow tang in his tank, and ime foxface's get respect from other fish, they are venemous, and i bet the tangs know it.

Oops. Sorry.

However, a yellow tang and a foxface would squabble a lot, at least at first, during which time one could be injured. Very similar in color, disposition and feeding requirements which cold result n numerous problems for both in a small tank.
