how to introduce a clown and anemone

We have a 156 gallon tank. We bought 2 juvenile clown fish and a week latter an anemone became available. The anemone keeps moving to one spot behind the rock and I have tried to chase the clowns to it. They live in the back right corner and will have nothing to do with it. I bought a frogspawn and put it close to them but they ignore it also. Any suggestions about how to get my clowns to live with the anemone?

Having some info as to what kind of Clowns / Anemone you have would help. Chasing a Clownfish into an Anemone is risky business depending on the type. You could be chasing them to their deaths. Don't forget many Anemone's eat fish and Clowns don't always have a immediate immunity to the stings.

Like was mentioned above, need more info.

How long have you had the anemone? I have had clowns hosted by a new anemone within hours, but sometimes it took a week, and another time it took about 4 months. Time will be your friend in this.

I personally suggest against any active means of getting clowns hosted by an anemone -- passive is fine. Active means could result in an eaten clown(s).

I have MH lightening. The anemone is a BTA and the clowns are true. I appreciate the advice and will be patient. My local fish shop owner felt they should connect right a way.

i just got 2 true percs and ive had a gbta. they seem to be more intersted in my hammer coral=(. if they do start hosting it, how can i get them to go away?
