How to keep sand bed intact (with MP's running)

I setup two MP60's a couple weeks ago, and now my sand bed gets all screwed up. My tank is 30" high and the MP's are 8" below surface, so still quite a bit higher than sand bed. I do both Anti-sync and Sync to mix things up at the clash points. I also have the MP60's at exactly the same height... would it help to offset by 2-3"? The highest I keep my MP power at is 80%, 100% causes a storm.

Anyone else have pointers for how to stop the sand bed thrashing?

Yes, off set them a couple inches, that will help, also, I'm assuming you have sugar sized sand when I say this,.....Don't buy Sugar Sized Sand!

I agree. I have mine staggered. I also mixed in some #3 CC to help with keeping it down. I have a mp-60&mp-40 on a 5' tank.

Thanks both. I will stagger mine. Mine are an 8' tank so surprised they clash like they do, but the MP60's are built to do that I suppose!

Now I just need to work on stopping the squealing noise coming from them... different post for that one.

So I'm still having this problem. I even switched to a larger grain sand with no luck.

Is there a sand that looks good that will for sure not blow around??

Just dial em down a little. A mp60 @ 80% is a ton of flow. I can only imagine the undertow.
