Stick a cork in it!!!

My have a large very square fuge and my cheato would end up stuck in a bottom corner. I put a cork in it and now it's tumbling around the fuge and growing better than ever!

You can use a small powerhead to circulate your sump. It grows very symmetrical like a ball if u can manage to spin it under the light. I use a lights of America 65 W 6500k flood lights which grows it so ver well. This bulb was not meant to be a refugium light. but it works great. I bought it some time ago after reading some blogs here at reefcentral

A small ~7" worklight reflector from Lowes or HD with a CFL bulb in it works great and is cheaper than the floodlight bulbs in the long run. Actually puts out quite a bit more PAR too (using equivalent wattage floodlight and regular CFL bulbs in reflector to compare), the worklight reflector does a much better job than the floodlight's. I use 100W equivalent (27W actual) Home Depot's 'daylight' CFL bulbs to grow many kinds of macroalgae readily. The daylight is a little more blue than soft white or 6500K, looks better and does just as good if not a little better than the more yellow bulbs. Most macroalgaes are used to a little bluer of a spectrum than terrestrial plants anyway.

It's hard to take a pic of it. I just shoved a cork into the middle of my ball of cheato and it keeps it more boyant and now it roles around the sump more. Plus my glass is nearly grown over so I can't take a good pic.

Natural or synthetic cork? You're not worried it will degrade over time, leach out something that might be harmful? I mean, how do you know if they are made with chemicals. Just curious.
