How to kill unwanted zoa's

I would like to hear ideas on this too. Many people are just going to say frag them off, don't kill them, but for some of us who want them gone, thats not an option.

I have some little greenish brown ones that are weeds... I cannot take the rock out either, and I don't want them over growing the surround corals. Fragging them off doesn't work.

So far, I have been taking an exacto knife to them. Killing a small area every couple days, as to not release too many toxins in the water. Can this be harmful to the inhabitants of the tank?? (I have done it a couple times so far in small patches, to no ill effect.)

My 'chocolate pumpkin' zoas (medium brown w/ orange centers) drive me nuts, they overgrow everything. Like ooja3k, many of my rocks can't really be moved, but luckily I (accidentally) found a solution...

Kalk paste.

Yep, the same thing that kills (and sometimes just irritates) Aiptasia and Majano anemones works brilliantly on pesty zoas. I overdid it once when I was nuking a Majano, and covered some of the surrounding zoas in paste. In the morning, the paste had blown away and all that was left was bare rock. Of course the little buggers have grown back, following the rule that the fuglier the zoa, the faster it grows

Just mix up kalk and hot FW to the consistency of toothpaste, then turn off the pumps and use a pipette or syringe w/o the needle to squeeze some out onto the zoas. Allow it to crust over, then turn the pumps back on -- the paste should stay put, and will eventually just dissolve away harmlessly. IME you'll be left with pristine, bare rock.

Ive nuked them with joes juice before... The ones that were once covered with the kalk paste, are healthy again the next day... Im pretty sure they are invincible. Except with the exacto...

Also, is it possible to OD on joes juice??
