How to kill xenia!!!

I have had xenia since July of 09. I think I am up to a whopping 8 stalks. My friend wanted a couple frags of it and I sort of freaked out cause it took so long to grow. I gave him two anyways. That would be funny if it took off like it is supposed to in his tank even though it never did in mine.

mine grew like weeds but if they are on their own rocks or that you really want to get them out take out the lr and put them in your sump with no light and then they will die off thats what i had to do

Xenia likes phosphate. I had a lot of Xenia in my tank until I hooked up a reactor w/ GFO. Over a period of months it just melted away until it was totaly gone.

Clean your aquarium up and Xenia will cease to thrive.
Fill your phosban reactor up with some aluminum (white) based phosphate remover and see what happens

would rather have xenia than hair algae

phosphate might now always work but just try to keep up with with taking it down out of the tank
