How to lift anemone out of tank

I have a 10-12in diameter carpet attached to large rock that I want to remove from tank. I plan on leaving him attached to the rock but am worried about the lift out of the water? Can I just lift rock out or do I need to support the anemone when he comes out of the water? Turn rock upside down? Thanks for any advice.

You need to let your anemone drip water out slowly. Lift it not all the way out of the water, and wait for some time. It might tear, if you just lift it out at once.

You can use a big salad bowl, or something alike, to contain the rock+gig, and then lift it out of the water.

This is what I would do, and have done. Works well.
