How to make Swiss Cheese - Krunchy's 275g Closed Loop monster!

Why not make it a softy tank and automate it instead of getting rid of it? My 280 was a softy tank and very low maintenance. My new tank will be a softy tank as well. I am a fulltime student, mom of four and have seven dogs so I understand busy. Maintaining a large softy tank can be quite easy.

Unfortunately selling a used tank takes a huge loss. No one buys full systems unless the price is practically giveaway. Parting out would be better but I would still hold onto it if I were you. You may have no choice.

I just can't see Krunchy doing a softy tank... He's such an SPS man.

It's better than having no tank at all and losing all that money, such a shame. Even a fowlr would be better than getting rid of that beautiful tank.

I disagree. You dump so much in every month.... and you're not even enjoying it.... time to cut your losses.

hope you dont mind im steeling some of your ideas!~..lol

Enjoy. There's lots of pictures and i'd be more than happy to explain anything that isn't overly clear in them.

Nice plumbing.

Thank you!

I really don't have a choice. I need to do this. As much as I love this tank I need to be out of it for now.

oh man!!!

sry to hear that!!

Hope u find the time in a few months to get back to the hobby!!!

Flo

You know it. I will return one day. :)

Sad to hear you go. I too would suggest keeping the tank/equipment if time, and not $$, is the issue.

You'll get the itch soon, and when you do you will have everything ready to go, plus buying everything over again will inevitably cost you more. And, even if you don't get back in, selling later on will get you more $$, once the economy is back on its feet -- right now it is a buyer's market.

We'll see what happens... The tank, stand, and canopy are now for sale along with my 90g system.

:hmm4:

NOOO!

Sorry to hear this bro... but I feel ya! As you know I was in the same position not long ago, BUT, I'm already back ;) Any thoughts of just shutting it down and hanging on to it for a while until you could get it going again?

Regardless, GL with the new company man, and keep in touch!

Funny how fast you can come back sometimes, isn't it? We'll see what happens but for now i'm completely out. The last of my fish will be gone soon and all of my SPS are already relocated.

Sorry to hear about the sale of this tank. I was really enjoying the build. Really impressed with the stand and canopy. G/L and hope to see you back in the hobby soon.

personally i think u will regret it later.. and if i must say that is a pretty snazzy looking cabinet
