How To Move A Mushroom

My wife's lovely 1 mushroom has done its thing and is now taking over the tank. Problem is they are killing my other corals (acans mostly).

I can't take out the rock and I can't chip it away. Any recommendations on how to remove the mushrooms from the rock?

Thanks,

If possible, you could slice it off at the base and then cover the base loosely with epoxy. After a couple weeks pull up the epoxy.

Razor blade it out at the base. Will probably come back over time but at least you can control it over taking your tank. Good problem to have. I love mushrooms.

Man these things are resilient. Cut them with a scalpel at the base and syphoned them out. Put the pieces in my sump to see what would happen and they have attached and are happily growing.

New mushrooms are starting to grow from any tissue left on the rocks in the DT.

if you want to stop them from regrowing in the main tank, perhaps you could try to take some side cutters (or maybe something bigger depending on how much you would need to cut) and cut out just that small portion of the rock

I think some glue and putty are going to be the best bet.

They are mostly growing in crevasses in the rock.
