How to plumb this tank

I just purchased an aquarium to use as a frag tank. I am a little confused because the tank has a hole drilled in the corner but with no overflow box and no bulkhead fitting, it is just a tank only. I am confused as to one is a overflow and what about a return???? So how would I plumb this to my display tank? Do I even need a overflow box or do I need to drill another hole? If anyone can help me, it would be greatly apprciated. Thanks in advance

Sounds like it was drilled to use a standpipe (just a piece of pipe with the water flowing in at the top). Simple and effective, but a bit noisy and doesn't offer a lot of assurances against clogs (errant snails, etc.). You might want to build a bulkhead around it and construct a durso-style or other low-noise standpipe.

As far as the return line, they probably just plumbed it "up and over" -- there's usually no problem with the return coming over the lip of the tank and then back down to the water surface.
