How to QT A Jawfish?

I was just curious, since most QT tanks don't have sand. Then again, I wouldn't want to freak the little guy out by not providing him with the house he'd be used to. Would it be acceptable to QT a jawfish with a sandbed?

i qted mine with cut pvc pipes and some coral rubble and he was fine using the pipe as a tunnel
