How to remove a BTA?

I am thinking of ripping my tank down and starting over. I have a BTA and was wondering what is the best way to remove the BTA from the Live Rock? Or is it better to just take the rock with the Anemone? I am considering taking all live stock to LFS and trade it in for credit till my tank is back up!

Credit card slowly, or put ice in bag and slowly bump into him or I'd just remove the rock if he's stubblrn

+1 for the cc.....but when they are in a hole or crevice, I use plastic zip ties to remove mine...needless to say though, you should be careful and take your time...

If you just slowly rub on the foot where it meets the rock it will let go eventually. It may take a good 5 mins before it begins. Mrsaltwater has a great video showing if you search YouTube. I just removed a bta last week like this.

Take the rock it is on and turn it upside down and support it that way, put a plate or something simular under the nem so it doesn't reattach to anything it will drop off in less than 5 minutes. I tried the ice thing on one I had and it never worked.

I have used a air pump and put the hose by its foot, around 5 minutes or so and it should let go. I have also broke up the liverock to get them out carefully
