How to remove hair algae from my clam?

I would like some suggestions on how to go about removing hair algae that decided to grow on the shells of my deresa and squamosa. Any suggestions my fellow clamers?

remove the clam to a bowl of salt (tank)water and gentily brush it with a tooth brush

I pull it out and pull tha hair algae off.
I then caught my snail stressing it by doing a follow up job.
stressted the clam a bit, but the snail did a good job.

I take it out inside a bowl of water as described (If attached take it out with the rock) but instead of a tooth brush I use a stainless steele wire brush.
