I have a rose BTA that became three within a few months. How can I safely remove this anemone without damaging it? It is attached to my liverock work and is stinging my GSPs and encroaching on other soft corals.

If you can easily move the rock, position it so the anemone is unhappy. When they start moving, they are much easier to remove.

If the anemone is big enough, I hang it upside down with the base partially out of the water. After a couple of mins, the foot will begin to detach.

works for me as well.

I've had better luck w/ the hanging method & using a turkey baster to help loosen the foot. Once you see it starting to release it helps if you massage it with your finger.

point a powerhead at the foot - and it doesn't need to be a strong flow - little by little (15 - 30 minutes) the 'nem will usually get annoyed and work on crawling away / repositioning / moving itself.
Once it is "going mobile", as salty said, it is very easy to get it completely unattached. You can use the powerhead at the base and it will come right off.
