how to remove RTBA from LR

Hi All,

Is there any "trick" that can be applied to get a RBTA off / out of a crive in LR - with a view to removing it from the tank, without damaging it?

Cheers,

Matt

I've always had luck pointing a powerhead at them. They don't seem to like the extra flow. Just be careful about what direction it blows when it does let go.

Ok - I'll try that now....... thanks. What sort of time period should I expect before it "lets go"? i.e. are we talking minutes, hours, or days?

Cheers,

Minutes to hours. I've only done it on a condy (which took minutes) but others have done it on bta with success

depends on the 'nem. Some don't care and will tolerate it, others will move instantly. You'll have to sit and watch it to see how it behaves.

I've also heard of people freezing bag of water, then placing it near the foot of the 'nem. Not touching, but close.

Well, its had the power head on it now for about 2hrs, and it seems not to care.......... gonna stick the bag of water in the freezer now and try that too........

cheers,

Matt
