Someone has some zoas on his overflow pipe that he said I could remove and have, how should I go about removing the zoas?

i agree with all the above, especially goggles and keep your mouth closed i think there has been an eye incident here.

you may laugh but In my experiences better than a razor blade (since they can cut them up) is a **new** shoehorn they can get underneath and scrape them off, they even have long ones so you can get things further away!

But I definitly third the goggles/safety glasses and keep your mouth closed 8~X

If the overflow is plastic wouldn't recommend a razor blade. You could gouge it and the owner of the tank wouldn't be too impressed with you. I actually recently did the same as you are doing and honestly I was able to pull the zoa's right off the overflow with my bare hand. Do keep your mouth closed and safety goggles wouldn’t be a bad idea. Some gloves wouldn’t hurt either, some people react badly to touching zoa's. But I know you've had plenty of zoa's in the past so you probably know all of this and how your skin may react to touching them.
