How to repair shallow scratch on outside of tank?

I have noticed about a 10 inch scratch on the front of one of my tanks. Guessing it was from the 2 1/2 year old. It is a really shallow scracth...so shallow that you cannot even feel it with your fingernail.
So my question is what is the best way to buff out the scratch. I have seen some scratch kits, using tooth paste, olive oil, and cerium oxide. But has anyone on here tried any of these with any luck.

I assume it's an acrylic tank, if so this will work.

Noticed this is for acrylic tanks and mine is glass. Guess i should have mentioned that in the first post huh. lol
