How to replace housing for Tunze 6065 ?

Could you please tell me if I can use a housing of Tunze 6105, the newest model with wider version, to replace my Tunze 6065 comes with an old narrow housing ? I only have 75 gallon tank and this pump is too strong for my tank, but I don't want to sell it. I just want to find the way to make the stream become softer and wider like the Tunze 6095.

While I haven't tried it, I don't think it will work as the prop is too small to hit the stop tabs if it spins backwards. The controllable pumps have an electronic system preventing a backward spin, the non controllable pumps rely on the stop tabs on the back of the cross in front of the prop housing.
