How to switch fry from live to frozen...

Hi everyone,

Well its that time for lil Mo...I read to introduce him to cyclop-eeze by adding it right before feeding live BBS. My original problem with that was the amount of live BBS in the water. So I sucked most of it out and tried him 2x today with the cyclop-eeze before feeding him real food. No luck.

I know its only been 2x..1 day and I'm not discouraged yet, but I was wondering how everyone else does it??

I never used 'peeze...pick up some H2O mini-mysis or chop up some Hikari mysis and try that. I also tended to wait a tad longer to wean my SH...they seem to pick it up better if they aren't intimidated by the food.

I get them on cyclopeeze first..... add it to the tank (just a little) in the morning when they are the most hungry, about 45 mins prior to the brine.. Eventually, one eats it and the others follow, then start adding shaved mysis or the h2o mysis and the same thing will happen. A word of caution.. make sure to siphon any uneaten food out and keep the tank clean.. A protein skimmer will help at this point. There is often die off when you start adding frozen....
