how to take pics with SONY a57

I have a sony a57 but I do not know how to take nice pics of my tank with it. I have LED lighting and my pics look nothing like they should. What setting should i be using and should I adjust my blue % on my tank. Trying to get some pics for IDs on some of the things in my tank but not point posting something that does not look like the item i am taking a pic of lol. any help is appreciated

Are you planning to take Macro pics (enlarged pics of fish etc.)? for that you would need a dedicated macro lens like Sony / Minolta 100mm F/2.8 Macro.

Shoot raw format. Then edit the white balance in lightroom.

This video told me to shoot perpendicular which I was not doing and getting blurry images despite having a nice DSLR and a Macro lens.

Yes, shooting straight through glass is critical to avoid clarity wrecking distortion.
