How to tighten skimmer bulkhead?

I am trying to install a replacement pump in my skimmer. When I hooked up the new pump and do a leak test, there is dripping coming out of the front bulkhead. I don't know if it became loose or possibly the new pump is just a little different size. I can't reach inside the skimmer to get at the bulkhead from the inside. Can I just turn the outer part clockwise? It had some play in it but I'm not sure that turning it is helping.

Sure hope somebody has an idea to help me.

From here the bulkhead appears to just be a uniseal which has no threading or anything.. Just a friction fit of pipe going through a rubber grommet in a hole.
Like this..

You may just have it crooked now or the pipe needs to be pushed in slightly and just wiggling may fix it.. Undo the union.. And give it a wiggle and try again.. If not the uniseal may need to be replaced..
Could be some dirty/salt in the joint too..

They are pretty forgiving but "stuff happens"
