How to treat gill flukes?

He died :(. i did a FW dip on him for 4 minutes, didnt see anything. Then put him back in the tank, noticed white dots on his fin, body, and also things looking like very very small pieces of rice, all over, the dots and rice looking things were on his face too.

Then i put him back in the fw and when i put him back in the tank he sat motionless, no gill movement. No white things ether.

God bless his little sole :(...

Oh geez, I'm sorry. It sucks when you try so hard to save them to no avail. But you did try. How are the other fish doing?

Thanks. Others ate great today as usual, one clown scratched this morning. What else do you think it might be? If i had the courage to search the blennys body then i might be aboe to find something but he is so cute and i dont wanna have to stare into his little glassy eyes anymore.

To top it off my cat ate my clown goby out of my 3g rimless this morning, i didnt really pay much attention to him though but i guess my cat had a good meal lol ;)

Wow...you should feed that cat;) As far as the clown scratching; are there any spots? Is he breathing ok? How long has he been scratching? Have you ever done a dip on him? How long have you had him?

No spots, cant tell about the breathing because their super fast whenever im around the tank, wanting to be fed...

Ive had them both for about 7-8 months, just started this like a week after i got the blenny. (they were in my 37g but i moved them to the 20, where this has been going on.)

Never done a dip on ether one. They twitch alot and do some wierd vibrations alot? Goby is still good, no signs of anything.

They open their mouths really wide a few times a day (dont know if this is a symptom of anything or not...)

All the prazi really seems to be doing is keep the clowns from scratching until 6 days after dose and they start back up, the goby has some new tearing and little dots on i his tail fin

That's what I thought. I have a 500 gallon sps dominated reef with 4 glue tangs 2 purple 2 yellow tangs scribbled 2 regals bandit and more. What I'm trying to say is there real is no way to take out all the fish. They are all fat and eating well. Is it normal for them to be fat and eating and do well for months and yet have flukes

I noticed that some of my Angela have what looks like a white spot inside the edge of its tail. Not on outside. Does not appear to be ick. Is this possible fluke. It's like 2ml long by 1 ml wide. It's there for jus a day and gone.

Are the clown and goby in the same tank as the tangs? Yes, it can happen that a fish can be eating well and still have flukes IME. But eventually the population will overwhelm the fish.

thanks for the info. sorry did not mean to do highjack on this thread. I too have clown fish.. four in my tank with no signs of flukes

Is there a good way to tell difference between flukes or ick. Not sure if my scribbled has ick or flukes. I posted pics

Need more info on flukes. Does it usually attack one fish or the group. Weird thing is fish are not scratching and eating a lot. But looks like ick. But I am told flukes can look like ick. Cloudy eyes in fish.
