How to treat Lymphocystis?

I have a blue tang / yellow tang/ jawfish / mandarin in QT doing TT on day 8. The blue tang came with a spot on his gill that looked like one spot of ICH. Since I knew I was going to be doing TT I still purchased him b/c he was eating like a pig. Now I am on day 8 and if this is ich - that is what it looks like a grain of salt attached to his fin... I would have thought it would fall off by now b/c ich can feed on a fish for 7 days. Now I understand from Snorvich that "A white spot on the fin is likely lymphocystis"

The QT tank is currently being treated with Prazi Pro. The othr 3 fish look perfect.

thank you!!

My understanding is that lymph isnt really treatable other than providing optimum conditions and low stress. Id treat as if it were ich until I got a positive I.D. though. Post pictures though and im sure one of the real pros will come along and provide some help.

you should feed a variety of food, also add selcon

with proper nutrition & prestine water conditions it should go away

^agree. Keep water pristine and feed vitamin enriched food. Add Selcon, Kent's Zoe (there's another one but I can't remember the name) to the food, let it soak for 20 minutes and feed.

I spent most of the day trying to get a picture of my blue tang... and must say HE KNOWS when I have the camera! You cant really see it in this photo... my tank has bubbles in front of him from the running filter AND seaweed... b/c I thought it would help their diet. Did not eat seaweed and my attempt to remove the clip was not successful. Here is the best shot I have...

I am day 9 of Tank Transfer and will move them to a new tank tomorrow. He has one spot looks like a grain of salt on his right fin... and now I cant be sure he may have a tiny spot on his left fin? Either way the only way to get him into a pristine home is in the 1 year old reef system waiting for him w/ rock and food. This QT system is a bit to sterile.

If it is ich.. it should have fallen off already? If not ich do I let him into my DT? Will it spread to other fish?

OK so do not let the blue tang in the DT for another month. What about the three fish in QT with him? Yellow tang / jawfish / mandarin. Can they go in DT after TT and prazi pro treatment?

Neptune...
any advice? Snorvich...?

Lympho is caused by stress and isnt transferable from fish to fish like ich is. Proper and varied enriched diet coupled with low stress and it will go away. My emperor angel developed lympho in cupramine and it too almost 2.5 months to fully go away

Any help on ID lympho versus ich? The white spot is ONLY on the fin... but how do I know this is not ich? I want to get these otherwise looking great fish in my reef where copods / Live rock / live sand are waiting for them... A much nicer environment for sure... Here are some more photos.. it is really hard for the white spot to show up... is that proof enough as it is only one white spot? I now think my yellow tang has one spot on her fin... NOTHING on the bodies. I am on day 10 of TT. and want to put the fish in DT tank together to distract the existing pygmy angel in the tank.
