Hello everyone I am getting ready to put my 120 gallon tank up. My setup will consist of a 120 gallon display tank in the finished part of the basement. The sump will be 75 gallons and a frag tank maybe 30 gallons and that will stay in the unfinished part of the basement with the filter equipment. How will I control the humididty in the basement? I have my 55 gallon display in the basement now and it is very damp. I am worried about mold and such. I have thought about a dehumidifier but was wondering if it will do the job because I have a finished wall seperating the 2 areas that will have water in them. Has anyone dealt with this before is there anything elese i could do? thanks again in advance.

A dehumidifier should be fine, the water lost to evaporation is just water. Just do not keep it too close to the sump.

I have an exhaust fan by my sump that keeps my basement from getting damp. I also put a cover over my sump to help with humidity and to keep my cat from going swimming again.
