How will Acans continue to grow?

Have had these Acan small colony groups for a few months and they are larger now then the frag plugs they are sitting on. When I first got them I could see the frag plugs but no longer. Should I put frag plugs next to them for them to spread out on or leave them alone? How will they produce small polyp heads now that they are larger then the base of the plugs?

you could try putting frag plugs next to them, but with the way they grow it could be tough. usually you need hefty bone cutters or a small band saw to make accurate cuts on them when fragging.

having them grow between two frag plags, then trying to just snap them apart at the plugs could lead to hap-hazard cracking and polyp damage.

usually placing rocks or plugs adjacent to the colony and letting them grow on to it to frag works better with softies.

Are you growing these to frag them. If not I would move them to their expected home and get them of the egggrate. They will then stretch out to the surface you place them on.
