How's This for Wetlands Restoration

A local guy drove his Bugatti Veyron (million+ dollar car) into the Galveston, TX salt marshes this last Wednesday. I just think it's so freaking hilarious. Sucks for him though.

I have a link, but I'm not allowed to post it I don't think =*(

You must mean this Bugatti Veyron? That's not the driver, that's the tow truck operator. That's saltwater! This car is toast!

He allegedly swerved because of a flamingo that flew in front of him. Watching that video leads me to believe otherwise

My favorite part of the story... "The car ran for 10-12 minutes before gurgling to a stop..."

Can you believe this!!! There MAY have been a chance at some sort of salvaging from it, but since he didn't even turn it off!!! What an idiot!

Looks like he was on the phone :D The flamingo story is just so the insurance will pay for the damage.

I am sure that he is not happy that some kid has a video of the whole thing and posted it on facebook, kind of sucks for him :D

Just an fyi from an auto tech, anytime you have water go past your door sill its an automatic total in the state of illinois(dont know the law in other states). I have dealt with water damaged cars in the past and the amount of wiring work and weird gremlins gets overwhelming fast. Having said that its really sad to see someone who could not handle the car destroy such a machine.

When I first heard about the Veyron story my thoughts were either someone couldn't afford the payments anymore or needed the extra cash from the insurance plan.
