Well.... we've started something contagious at Highlands Ranch High School. Some of you may recall a post a while ago seeking some help for setting up a tank at the school. Folks have been very generous (a BIG thank you to Jeremy @ Aquamedic) and it seems that the tanks have started reproducing. They now have reef and fish only marine tanks in 6 of the science classrooms!!
If you have some spare rock, sand, critters or dry goods that you would like to donate to the kids, please drop me or bigfishjj (Mike) a note. We'd be happy to help coordinate pickup.
Overrun with anthelia? Devils hand outgrowing the tank? Star polyps run amok? Angel munching your prize acan? Clownfish getting a bit territorial? If it's healthy, we are interested. The kids think it's all cool. :reading:
For those of you that might want to donate better frags, the big reef tank has halides (thanks again Jeremy) and can support more challenging species.
These tanks are supported by donations, so nothing is too small. If you don't need it or want it, they do.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
