Last night around 10 PM The Planet got a huge shipment of sps and fish in. I picked up some awesome sps really cheap. Have fun shopping ...

Hope you made sure and checked them real good for RB's and AEFW's.

I never show up anywhere right when a shipment gets in. :(

They did a iodine dip and made sure there is nothing on then there should not be. I was just going to take them right with the bag they came in but they would not let me take them...

These guys know what they are doing and will let you know...

Well, hopefully they know that iodine dips aren't really that effective at killing AEFW - from what I've read it just kind of stuns them, then you have to blow them off with a baster. ;)

I'm just asking because of so many bugs going around these days. I bought some SPS frags awhile back from a very well known guy here on RC and one of them had AEFW's on it. He didn't even know he had them. I recently bought a couple SPS frags from someone local here selling them off and one had RB's on them. Not sure if he knew he had them or not.

I'm pretty comfortable buying stuff from these guys. No need to be paranoid about every little thing.

I did not have any bugs I know off in my tank and a simple mistake like not plugging in my heater killed my whole tank.

There is only so much you can do...

Yeah...the guy I mentioned that I got a frag from off the SPS forum here didn't QT some coral he got at some point in time and it cost him his whole tank of SPS, literally thousands of dollars of corals - large colonies. He had to start over. When it comes down to something like that, if I lost my whole tank there's no way I'd be able to afford to start over. With that in mind, that's why I set my 10g tank up as a small display that is also capable of sustaining SPS corals in a sort of QT for observation before going to my big tank. It's like my reef condom. Not paranoid, just aware of how many of the "big SPS'ers" on RC who have succumbed to these bugs and learning from their experience. If I had not, I would have just recently introduced a new frag to my tank that was nicely populated with redbugs.
