I had 4 ocellaris clowns in a 55 gallon with sevral anenomes, and today I just added 2 maroons. I verry much hope this works out i let my ocellaris get almost full sized and I bought two small maroons so hopfully it works out. I know that getting 2 maroons to get along is hard but they have all been in the tank for over an hour and so far so good. They have each got there own anenome.

Good luck. I had 3 ocellaris clowns in a 75 gallon. I tried to add two maroons with them. The ocellaris nearly killed both of the maroons. I managed to save both of them. They now live happily in separate tanks. More likely than not one maroon will be beat up worst it is getting beat up by both the other maroon and the ocellaris. I hope it works out.

Umm...yah.....Clownfish are very territorial.

I have a pair of clownfish, and added a Bar goby. Well, the kept on picking ont he goby (not sure why) till the goby carpet surfed.

It's not just other clownfish that they'll pick on...FYI.

thanks

thanks

Thanks everybody for your advice but they have all been together for a good 4 to 5 hours now and they are doing great nobody is picking on anybody, I think it has been because I added the maroons to the side of the tank where the occelais dont go and they have each stayed on there own half, also each fish has its own anenome.

Thanks again

Hope you have better luck than I did...the maroon I had started out ok..but after many years, it essentially staked out the entire 90gal tank as her territory.

I think maroon's get more aggressive as they get bigger.

Bullied/killed everything I added. Gave her to the Naperville Petland just so I could restock.

I wish you the best of luck, I tried it despite the warnings in my tank years ago. It worked out well for a few months but as the maroon got bigger he killed the rest of the clowns and then started in on the rest of the fish in the tank. Maroons get nasty as they mature and grow.
