Huge Sale - Keep the Date Open

Please keep the date of March 13th open. Everyone is invited, the primary goal will be to get the tank emptied of livestock and everything to new homes. We will pick an exact time as the date gets closer.

We haven't decided pricing on the livestock and corals (This isn't a for sale post, more of an open house invite), maybe we will do something fun like an auction or something so everyone has a fair chance.

Melanie and I do want to say we won't be disappearing, we have made some great friends here over the past couple of years, we will make it a point to stay in contact and make it out to events. We just won't have any :fish2: water in the house

I am in disbelief, but understand. I will be there as well, you have a great system and some great stuff in that system. I wish I could buy the whole thing, but will be replacing a heat pump next month instead.

I have had several of our club members PM me because my link didn't work... Didn't realize RC had revoked reading privileges in the FS forum for members that didn't meet the 50/90 criteria yet.

So, here is the original scope of my first post:

After much discussion between my other half and I, we have decided we need to shut down our system and focus on a few other issues that life has brought our way... Not an easy decision to make, but we both have been extremely busy with chaotic career's, it looks like work will be needing more of my time traveling this year than any previous year, and we also have health issues with one of our dogs that is occupying most of our free time.

Bottom line, is our beloved hobby has turned into a workload that we resent at this point, and it doesn't provide enjoyment for us.

I know the chance of this selling as a setup is remote, but that is how I am offering it at this point. I will work with the potential buyer on the package and the total price. If it doesn't sale as a package, there will be a massive sale at the house on March 13th, and once all livestock is parted out and gone, I will begin offering different parts of the system.

I won't begin to tell you how much money I have invested, it isn't relevant, I have priced this to sell at $6700 with all equipment listed below. The total price can be reduced if you decide to exclude pricey items like the Bubble King Skimmer etc... If everything is purchased together, I will throw in all livestock and corals. I will except Credit Card payments through paypal we can work together on the fees, or I will also accept cash down and can provide owner financing with the appropriate drafted legal documents.

Once again, if this is sold as a package, I will throw in all of the livestock and coral, Rubbermaid 100G sump, 2 Rubbermaid 44g Brute plumbed together with a MAG12 for salt mixing, and many more things. I also have a stand and canopy setup for a QT can use a 55G or two 20 high tanks which I have, and a 200g 7' QT.

Sufficient to say this setup cost several times this, and market value is much more than I am asking. I am flexible on the total price, based on what you want the package to contain

I believe Landen is trying to sell it as a package deal, at a great loss, if that fails then he is going to sell the live stock @ the date posted.

I'm sorry to hear that you are gettin out. That is one heck of a setup!! I can provide a great home for all of your fish but the 2 large tangs. Just let me know if you'd like to get them out sooner and I can make arrangemets to come and get them. I even have a really nice acrylic fish trap if you need to borrow it. This weekend might be open for me.....I'd just have to ask the wife if she felt like a road trip. Again. I'm sorry for the crazyness in life. Seems to be alot of that out there these days!! Let me know.

After another long week of travel, back at home and getting caught up on things...

I believe I have responded to all PM's, if I missed some it wasn't my intention, my mailbox has been full most of the week.

If they aren't picked up with the entire setup, they will be available to the group on the 13th.

The exception to this is the large tangs... Anyone interested in these guys please let me know what size tank they will be going in and what other tangs you have. The Monroviae and Fowleri are my babies, and I am going to be picky where they go. Both are larger tangs and will continue to grow. You won't be disappointed thought, the Monroviae is like a puppy dog, will eat out of your hand and loves attention. The Fowleri is much more shy, but still young so his personality is still developing.

The sale on the 13th will go on, but it will not contain any of the corals with the exception of a RBTA, a few zoas, Hammer LPS, and Frogspawn LPS..

All fish will be for sale that day as well, as the new owner could not take them. In addition to the fish, we will essentially have a Reef Yard Sale including all of the 'stuff' you accumulate over the years. Lot's of good stuff including some 20g, 55g, the beat up 210 that I use for QT, misc reactors, pumps, test kits, media etc... Many things that are brand new.

The plan at this point is also for the new owner to join us and remove the LR and SPS that day. I would appreciate any help that you guys can provide, an additional hand or two would be great, and I will be supplying food and drinks.

It was a pleasure to meet you today and for you to show me how the system operates. Down payment will be sent this week. I believe I have come up with a good game plan on getting the live stock home. I will also be able to aquire a nice cart for moveing the tank when time comes, compliments of a friend that works at Wal-Mart.
For anyone interested in the fish, I can say they are stunning, I just do not have the room for them. Please come on out and give these guys a good home, you will not be dissapointed. It is off to bed, the drive today got me. I will be in touch.
