That was my first occupation when I was 17 I bought a 55 ford and took it to a body shop to get some rust fixed. They wanted more to fix the rust than i paid for the whole car. So the guy at the body shop tells me this whole long story of just what it took to fix and told me they would show me if i wanted to work as a helper part time after School. Well 20 or so years later and having owned my own my own shop i finally got out of it and never looked back. But I did have a 64 chevelle with Blue Metal flake stripes down the whole car, each one about 18" wide and the rest of the car was a real dark blue Cadillac Firemist blue color. Those were the Day's, Cross bay Blvd and connecting Hwy I think is what they called where we used to race right on the Hwy.
I am showing my age so i will go now but thanks for stirring that memory.

No doubt, I would stay on top of that as that crap was taken off the market i believe? I used to Spray Laquer and Smoke Cigarettes at the same time and every body would leave the building LOL It never caused me any greif, Lucky for me!

PS i may have some old pictures I will look and see what i can find. But will need help to transfer them to the computer as they are old photos.
