I don't update here often but:

The tank is rocking. All SPS are growing steady and color is improving. I did add an ATI purple plus t5 bulb . So now in the back I have a blue plus, middle is a black box led, and in front purple plus t5. I actually bought another blue plus to use in the front but felt like it was two much blue but the purple might be to much white... hmm. Going to take a while to adjust and play. The t5's take away any shading.

My skimmer is still a pain. It was working great for a few months and then no bubbles the one day. I pulled out and cleaned and now it is working better but I have to adjust the air intake every day.

On the last water change my return pump decided it didn't want to start... I hate that. I was able to tap the side and get it to start on its own. I replaced the prop in July I believe.

I am still adding lime to my ATO and my Calium levels are sticking close to 400. I go through about 4 gallons a week.

I do a 3 gallon water change every Sunday and now I barely need to clean the glass and don't have to clean the rock at all. I have a ton of flow so that is probably why.

My next upgrade... if I ever upgrade will probably be a kessil 360 or something similar.

I did start dosing koralcolor and lugols. Not much. Monday wednesday friday one drop of lugals and 8 drops of koralcolr. There is quite a bit of discussions on reefcentral about that mix to help brighten up sps.

Beautiful tank! I really like your rockscape. I'm planning a 50g cube and was concerned about the rockscaping strategy since it's a square instead of a rectangle. So it's really nice to see a beautiful cube like yours so I can steal your idea! :-)

Rython.. Thanks. I drilled the rock and added acrylic rods. I just wish i didn't make the rock so high. To much light.

Say it fast. Thanks. Quite happy with it so far

I am still loving the sca 301 skimmer. Easy to adjust and great foam. Wish i could have fit the 302.

Thank you. 20x20x18 so 45ish gallon. Some corals are coloring up quite well. Some day i will change out my light. Just need to see other tanks in person to decide.
Of course i wish i would have set up a 60 now. I also moved my light about 6 inches higher. I really think that will allow me to move some sps frags up higher on the middle rock.

I am not happy with my light so i decided to move it up higher.

It seems to be better but now i have to look at this ugly black box... So i decided to cover it up.

Well that didn't last long... I got a chance to try an Aquaticlife Halo led and dropped it on the tank. After a few days lps look so much better and with the t5s i believe my sps will continue to grow.

Here are a few updated pics. I had to move a few corals due to long sweepers attacking my sps.

I do feel like some of the sps are getting more color.

Getting ready to trade a few corals. Updated to come.

Snow day today. Figured why not date some fts and put them in a collage. Really need to get the good camera out and shut off the pumps for some decent pics

have had the tank set up for over 8 months and finally got around to a control box.* This way my reefkeepers... Jbl ato... And 3 wave makers are all together and protected from the water from the sump.* Looks pretty good and works just how i imagined it

love this! its always nice to see tank progression. I get to try and remember to take monthly tanks pics.

also I read that you dropped the halo in the tank not on it ...was like oh sh*t. had to reread that a few times.

We have a local forum that I post pictures in about once a week. It is mostly to keep me interested and focused on the tank and to be able to look back for growth. I don't post on here often because people don't reply. I assume I don't get replies because the picture quality and the corals aren't neon like some of the guys on here. I keep it simple and do way more looking at my tank then I do messing with it. I actually have a rule that I can only put my hand in the tank once a week. Learned this years ago from a local that had an amazing tank. I did a water change on Sunday and already have 3 sticky notes of adjustments I want to make next Sunday. Stupid LPS stinging other LPS.

Yeah dropping the Halo in the tank rather then above or on the tank would certainly cause more changes:)

I knew I would love the controller box once I made it. There is one thing I didn't think about. You can't take the control cable off of the Vortex controller so I had to make a few extra cuts and it isn't as clean as I had hoped. I also still need to mount the power supplies somewhere and the cabling under the tank is still horrible. I had it fixed it quite well and then had to clean to pumps. It took so long to pull the pumps out I decided the velco straps weren't the answer. I actually broke the connector on the reefkeeper. Now if i am not careful I can reset the temp probe.
