Ihave a small hammer coral in my tamk, with two branches.
One of the branches has been roting away for the last day or so, what should i do?
Cut it off, let it be?
if one branch dies off, what about the other??
should i remove the whole thing and toss it??

thank for the help

Try the LPS forum... you'll get more responses there. But, while you're here...

Rotting away for a day or so? Are you sure that one head is just not opening up? Or, possibly there's a pest eating / aggitating it, like a nudibranch? A picture would be of great help in trying to give proper advice.

Parts of our branching hammer stay closed up on occassion for 1 - 3 days. But, they eventually do open back up fully.

Usually, heads are independent of each other, so if one head is dying, most likely, it wont affect the other heads... just my 2 cents
