hey all

I have 2 6000's w/ magnetic holders, and both are on the single controllers. The problem i am having is when the stream is at max. pulse it makes a humming noise, and when it is on the lower pulse setting there is no humming noise...so, when i looked into it to find out what making the noise it seems as though it is the vibration from the stream against the magnet holder...

Is there a way to stop the humming noise?:(

Did you use the rubber feet that came with the mag holder? How long have the pumps been running? In general the pumps get quieter after a couple weeks of running.

The pumps are about 3 months old now. As far as the rubber feet, the pump and magnet didnt come with anything that remotely looked like rubber feet or bushings

In the box with the magnet holder was a piece of paper about the size of a couple postage stamps with small rubber feet on it. I am out of these but should get more after the holidays. They are available at hardware stores for about a dollar. They are made by 3M and are just a small clear half sphere made of a rubbery plastic.

only thing in the box with the magnet were the instructions...i will try to find what you talking about, but, if you come across any, do you mind sending me 2 sets for both of my magnets....

Check in the manual, it shows them. I am happy to send you some but I don't think I would get them before the new year.

if you dont mind could you PM me when you get some in......thanks...in the meantime i'll head to the hardware store

To be honest, by then I will probably have forgotten. Odds are I will remember I promised someone the part but this thread will be 6 pages down. Just PM me a reminder or bump the thread from time to time.

You can find them at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes in the hardware area. They are located with the adhesive felt pads and rubber buttons that can be stuck to the bottoms of small appliances to keep them from scratching counters.
