fairly certain on my id..

on a side note, do you own the red fin flasher in your avatar, i just picked one up

yes i do. I will get a few better shots tomorrow. It has characteristics of P. lineopunctatus but the tail is puzzling. It has what oohs to be some blue flasher it in. I will post better pictures tomorrow when the lights are on. we will see. It was sold to the LFS as a filemented flasher, but does not appear to be one. the pictures taken were also right after being placed into the qt

very beautiful! I never trust the ID's from the LFS. Mine had a bunch of mccosker wrasses labled as anthias... or they just make up a name like sunset wrasse or just plain red wrasse.

haha well we will see i have a line spot in the mail and should be here by 3. if they fight, then he's a line spot. the thing that makes me think is the back top of the tail and and pelvic fin are a blue hue. and his body is not a uniform color.

+3 to the Paracheilinus ID. Their colors can be different depending on where they come from. Most of the time DNA would be the only way to tell. New species are still being established. I doubt it's any type of hybrid. Neat fish. GL with it.

well I have gotten a line spot today and notice huge differences between the 2 fish. for 1 his whole bottom is a white/yellow with a blue tint. It could just be a juvi but the tail shape is also whats throwing me off. Either way he's an awesome fish and am excited to own him.

You might want to slow down on adding so many male wrasses together at once. It could lead to some unhappy fish. This might be part of the problem with your angel.

all are very peaceful and new additions are in a n acclimation box. i appreciate your thoughts but I believe they are fine. and there were no new wrasses in the qt before the angels. but thanks. I hardly think 2 or 3 wrasses that do not compete with the angels at all are hardly the problem with the male wantanabei not eating, I instead suspect parasites as his eye is cloudy and his tail is chewed.

colour can vary from fish to fish. Lets see the new fish(s) It very well could be a hybrid as Paracheilinus will spawn in large groups and hybrids can and do happen. Need side on shots of fish

well here it is you can kind of see the 2 tones in his body. There has also been no aggression between the 2. either way hybrid or not he's a very beautiful fish
