Well, one brand new in the box,the other one ran for about 10 seconds. Too much flow for a LPS dominated tank,80 bucks for the pair, pick up in San Jose/campbell. Koralia #3. These things move a s--tload of water
Vtrider, how long is your 55G?? I have 2 Tunze 6000 in my 100G (48x24x20) plus a 500GPH return. The tank is 100% softy and LPS coral. I have np with the flow.
I don't see how 1 - 850GPH PH would be too much flow.
i kinda agree with elite, i have a modded MJ 900 on my 40 gallon. again an LPS tank. and i dont really have any trouble. the MJ in my tank is close to 850 gph if not more. i only run it for 6 hours during the day time. when i first started my firefish wouldnt come out of the cave and the the mushrooms started shrinking. but within a few days i am seeing some crazy polyp extension and the firefish loves the flow. my frogspawn has really opened up in the last couple of weeks. and the candy cane is doing muc better as well. and i have an ehiem1262 return pump as well. so that another 500gph after the head. i would say, keep the pump, put it on a timer and slowly increase the running time.
my 2 cents
well the thing is that my tank is jam packed with corals and is ver narrow. so things are too close to the outlet no matter where I put it and get freakin rocked by this thing. I'd rather just go with 3 small ones
did you decide if you would like to sell them separately or as a pair? if you want to sell them separately and haven't promised anyone else, i would take one
I think I may have found a solution, although I will reiterate that I can return these both to foster smith for ful credit,so I'll just return them if noone wants the pair.BTW were you the guy picking up the reef grunge when I was at dolphin? I was wearing a motorcycle jacket
