Hydrofoamer 9420.040 question

Roger,

My Bubbleblaster pump on my Reef Octopus SUPER SRO 2000INT In-Sump Protein Skimmer just went.

Will this Hydrofoamer model work and be a suitable replacement? Are the connections compatible?

From looking at the images, I don't think it would work, the pump they use has male thread it seems and ours is female (3/4"). It also looks like clearance will be an issue, our pump is a lot taller, theirs has more of a horizontal orientation. They also quote a higher flow volume and if it is indeed higher, the 9420.040 would reduce the performance of the skimmer.
