Hydroid looking things

I have these things on my new LR that kind of look like hydroids, but really, really small and totally white, stalk and "crown". Too small to get pics.
Thanks for any help

Well, they might be hydroids. I'd watch them, and if they start to spread, whack at them then with something like lime or lye.

Supposedly they sting when you touch them? I did that, just to see. Nothing. But I guess if they are hydroids, they must be little babies.

They might be fully grown, and human hands don't necessarily detach nematocyst stings. I wouldn't touch the animals in any case, since that might provoke an allergic reaction eventually.

Do they shrink up when you try to touch them. Could be small feather dusters / tube worms. They have the little white crown and rigid tube.
