I have a new tank setup (about 2months). It's home to 2 yellowtail damsels and to Osc. clowns. 1 bubble anenome and some green polyps.
Ammonia is undetectable, nitrate is very low. ph is around 8.2.
Everything in the tank looks great and healthy except for one clown fish. He's a small guy, maybe about 1" total.
I noticed he likes to hide next to rock all day, and he wasn't eating much. He often looks like he is hyperventilating. Today I came home to find hime laying on his side, hyperventilating and extremely pale.
I am wondering if there is any possibility that the bubble anemone may have harmed him. I had them both put in a small space the other day to get them to know each other.
